The legendary
artist Ted DeGrazia (1909-1982) was known the world over for his
paintings of the Southwest. Indians, angels, cowboys on horseback, all
were among his creations... but far and away the best known and loved
were his solemn, dark-eyed children. Born in an Arizona copper mining
town, he spent his life observing and enjoying the rituals of the Indian
and Mexican people around him; his vivid talent has transformed scenes
of everyday life into works of art that are loved and admired all over
the world.
